How to make a web hook

A web hook allows you to process an event that has occurred in the system in a third-party system via an outgoing API request.

An alternative approach is to poll the state of the object from the outside using some API, which will lead to an extra load on the API.

The implementation of the webhook involves using an external action of the type apirequest, which will make a POST or GET request externally to a predefined address.

An external action can be called from different components:

Web hook implementation scheme

  1. Implementing an outgoing API request to an external system. See the documentation.
  2. We implement an external action of calling this request (for example, when saving a certain form).
  3. On the external system, we implement the processing of this request
  4. We check that the request goes away and the response comes from the external system
